Ben & Jerry’s are giving away free vegan ice cream tomorrow (10th April), as part of their 40th annual Free Cone Day. The ice cream will be available in the Scoop Shop in Wardour Street, Soho and this is the first time that they have offered the non-dairy range in their Free Cone Day celebrations.
They began their Free Cone Day in 1979 and it was the founders’ way of thanking their dedicated, ice cream loving fans for helping them get through their first year of business. Every April Ben & Jerry’s now hands out more than 1 million scoops of free ice cream around the world.
Ben & Jerry’s CEO Jostein Solheim said: “We believe in having fun, and in thanking our fans with free ice cream as each year goes by. To us it’s a chance to have a bit of a party, to build connections with our fans, and show them how much we appreciate them!”
