Usha's Very Own

When Usha, a microbiologist, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2014, she feared her life was over. To stop disease progression, she followed medical advice, but also transformed her family's Indian vegetarian recipes to be lean, vegan and glutenfree. It worked. And now, she's launched a food blog so everyone can create her delicious and health-conscious meals.

Usha's Very Own - with recipes, photos and videos on its website, Instagram and Facebook - is attracting curry-lovers, health nuts and, of course, people trapped at home keen on a new hobby. \"This food comes from the heart,\" says Usha, who has taken early retirement. \"The recipes are authentic and true to the flavours my mum shared with us. But I use organic, fresher ingredients, strip out most dairy, gluten and refined sugars.\"
