We're all a-flutter in the Vegan Life team this month, because spring has officially sprung, and we couldn't be happier for it. The bees and butterflies are making a reappearance, the evenings are drawing out and daffodils are popping up wherever they can. April is one of my favourite times of year for these very reasons - as well as for the onslaught of chocolate that comes with Easter! Long gone are the days when we vegans struggled to find a decent dairy-free chocolate egg; it is now a struggle to choose because there are SO MANY options! Oliver Coningham explores this month delectable chocolate drinks in line with the season.
If you're a keen gardener, April is the perfect month to get your outside space ready for growing fruit, vegetables and herbs. Katie White talks us through the benefits of veganic gardening in this issue and she gives her top tips and fresh foodie tricks - so get your spades at the ready!
Spring doesn't only make us want to get back out in the garden or exploring local parks, it also gets us geared up for cleaning the house - but did you know that many household cleaning products are terrible for the environment? Before you start your spring cleaning, make sure to read this issue to find out more about why most shop bought products should be put aside for alternative eco-friendly options.
Also, in this issue, we meet acclaimed vegan actress and activist Evanna Lynch where you will also find tonnes of delicious food, including plant-based fry up recipes, on-the-go lunches and one-pot dinners to see you through the coming (hopefully sunny) weeks.
Have a fantastic month!
