Renowned vegan blogger Fat Gay Vegan, Sean O’Callaghan is at the heart of a new pop-up deli opening in Camden Market, starting today. The market will be open each Thursday until Christmas, (7, 14 and 21 December). This is going to be the UK’s first animal-free deli, promoting vegan producers from around the country.
The opening times of the market fall on the days of Camden Market’s late shopping evenings, open from midday until 8pm. Confirmed traders include Young Vegan’s, LoveSeitan, The Butch Institute and many more, all with unique gifts from some of the best vegan food traders in the UK. O’Callaghan said: “Festive Vegan Deli is not only a dream come true for vegan foodies, it is also a rare opportunity for anyone curious about plant-based cuisine to find some of the UK’s finest producers in one location.
Camden Market has long been celebrated as a welcoming and supportive place for vegan businesses and shoppers, making it the perfect location for the Festive Vegan Deli. Not only can visitors shop for provisions from our carefully curated line up of deli traders, they can also dine with any of the permanent vegan food traders located throughout Camden Market. It’s the perfect festive day out!”
As the demand for dairy-free and meat-free alternatives has increased over recent years, the pop-up is set to be popular, even with the limited time the deli is available to visit.
O’Callaghan also has a new book coming out Fat Gay Vegan: Eat, Drink and Live Like You Give a Sh!t on January 4, available to buy on Amazon.
