It has been announced recently that the popular meat-free food company The Fry’s Family Foods Co. are set to release a range of chilled vegan products that will be available in selected Sainsbury’s stores from the 10th October.
Sainsbury’s will be selling eight new Fry’s products in their chilled section, followed by an additional range of frozen products later on in the month.
The products available will include artisan southern-style tenders, chicken-style strips, chargrilled beef-style strips, hearty steak & ale country pie, spicy three bean pasty, artisan chickpea and roasted butternut balls, and sausage rolls and will be in addition to the wide selection of Fry’s food that are already available in selected supermarkets including Morrisons, Holland and Barret and online at Ocado.
Tammy Fry, The International Marketing Director at The Fry Family Food Co. has said “We are looking forward to showcasing our products to customers up and down the country and increasing our lines with Sainsbury’s over the coming months.”
Sainsbury’s have really expanded their vegan range recently and are probably one of the most vegan-friendly supermarkets around at the moment, so it is no surprise that Fry’s have chosen to showcase their products in store.
James Hamilton, who is the Meat-free buyer at Sainsbury’s has stated that, “We’re really excited to bring a wide selection of The Fry Family Co products to our aisles… With more customers than ever purchasing meat-free alternatives, Sainsbury’s is dedicated to expanding its variety of great quality vegan options. With nearly 30 years’ experience in making vegan products, The Fry Family Co products seemed like the perfect fit for Sainsbury’s and our customers.”
