Christmas has become synonymous with tasty treats and hearty meals, and everyone has their favourite
Leading vegan and vegetarian brand, Cauldron Foods, have conducted a festive survey looking into the UK’s favourite vegan and veggie Christmas classics. They discovered that vegetable Wellington is the best and most preferred Christmas meal, with 25 per cent of participants voting for the dish.
Coming in at second place was vegan nut roast, with 23 per cent of votes, and in third, veggie pigs in blankets, which attained a respectable 20 per cent.
Cauldron Foods’ survey also extended to include desserts, and they found that there is heated competition between chocolate cake and cheesecake, which received 12 and 14 per cent of votes, respectively.
Although the root vegetable is a table stable at this time of year, parsnip soup came in last, pulling in only six per cent of votes – it seems that the nation prefers something with a bit more bite.
To tie in with the results, Cauldron Foods have produced a helpful ‘Ultimate Vegan and Vegetarian Christmas Guide’, for anyone struggling for plant-based meal ideas, or in need of a bit of help this Christmas.
As well as the guide, one lucky person will have the chance to win a £500.00 supermarket voucher of their choice – more than enough to cover the average families Christmas food expenses.
