Sustainable footwear brand SUSI is launching an addition to their vegan shoe collection with ankle boots. The boots are made in collaboration with animal charity PETA, with a percentage of the profits being donated to them. SUSI was founded by Bianca Moran, who started SUSI Studio following the success of her vegan restaurant in the Philippines. She was inspired by a gap in fashion industry and began designing versatile, cruelty-free footwear.

The limited edition SUSI x PETA boots retail for $115 and are made from recycled plastic and rubber. The boots are in a 70s style design with a camel coloured faux suede on the outside. Celebrities who support the brand include Emma Watson, renowned animal activist Miley Cyrus and Rooney Mara. PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman spoke about the collaboration saying: “The luxe SUSI x PETA ankle boots are the perfect choice for any modern woman wanting to live more consciously – and look good while doing it.”

As a result of the collaboration, 30 per cent of the profits go to PETA to help towards their work with animals being used in the clothing industry. Bianca Moran, SUSI studio founder said: “SUSI is beyond excited to collaborate with PETA on these limited-edition boots, which prove that we can have fun with our wardrobes while still taking steps toward a kinder world for all beings.” Moran’s goal with SUSI Studio is to create designs for women who shouldn’t have to compromise their femininity or their personal style in order to uphold their values.

The boots are available to pre-order now on the SUSI website, with orders being shipped on January 2.
