Easy Vegan Gravy (Oil-free)

This vegan gravy recipe is rich and creamy and super savoury — just the way gravy should be! It’s also oil-free, making it a healthy addition to your holiday meals.

Serves 8


  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 60ml (2 fl oz) water
  • 480ml (16 fl oz) vegetable broth
  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder


  1. First, mix the cornflour with the water in a small bowl until if fully dissolves.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add all ingredients. Bring to a boil, whisking continuously. Reduce heat and continue whisking until desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.
