Hot Dog Mummies

Delicious vegan hotdogs that are fun to make and eat — both children and adults will love these full flavoured treats.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients

Method

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 pack of Fry's Hot Dogs (available from Tesco and Sainsbury's)
  • 3 tbsp French mustard
  • 1 sheet of vegan puff pastry
  • Ketchup, to serve (optional)

To serve

    Heat oil in a pan and fry hot dogs for 3-4 minutes, turning once.

    Preheat oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6.
  • 3
    Roll out puff pastry and spread mustard across the surface.

    Line hot dogs evenly across pastry sheet and cut pastry into 8 rectangles - one around each hot dog.

    Slice pastry in even lines on either side of hot dog - these will form the \"bandages\" to wrap around the sausage.

    Wrap bandages alternately left and then right, over the top of the hot dog mummy.

    Bake in oven for 15-20 mins until the pastry is golden brown.
