A pop-up supper club is coming to Shoreditch, with reducing waste and promoting veganism at its core
The unique event at Benk and Bo in Shoreditch, will be hosted by Plant Based News, chef Sophie Gordon, Oddbox, and Bring Your Own (BYO), who hope to bring guests a special evening packed with tasty, sustainable food.
Guests will sit down to enjoy a four-course meal comprising this seasons fruit and vegetables, in all shapes, sizes and varieties (from Oddbox) and English grown grains without packaging (helping to celebrate BYO, in Nunheads new store).
Chef Sophie will prepare each course with the theme of zero-waste in mind, so guests shouldn’t be surprised if they discover vegetables or seeds in their dessert. The dishes seek to give diners inspiration for preparing their own festive feasts, whilst reducing their waste.
Upon entering the venue, guests will be met with a limited edition festive drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options will be available) made by Fix8 Kombucha, and freshly prepared nibbles, including vegan cheese courtesy of KindaCo.
Throughout the night, there will be live acoustic music played by Thomas James Smith, as well as talks from Plant Based News, Oddbox, BYO, Sophie, Immy Lucas from Sustainably Vegan, and more to be announced.
The evening hopesto help people to celebrate Christmas without making so much waste, and will show guests how easy it can be to bring down the overwhelming statistics associated with Christmas waste.
