The world’s biggest vegan barbeque is happening in the UK next week, and most of all, it’s free! If you’re in and around the Birmingham area, make sure you pop over to East Side Park on Wednesday 30th May to grab a free vegan burger or hot dog, courtesy of The Fry Family Food Co. Serving food from 11am to 3pm, customers could be lucky enough to be one of 1,000 to have a free lunch.
The event is in honour of National BBQ Week, and it’s the first of its kind in the UK. Fry’s hope to achieve a new world record for the biggest gathering of vegans and vegetarians enjoying a ‘BVQ’. Tammy Fry, International Marketing Director at Fry’s said: ““For many, it wouldn’t be a British summer without a get together with friends, enjoying a barbecue while soaking up the sunshine. For people who follow a plant based lifestyle, however, it’s not always so straightforward.
“There are so many fantastic meat alternatives, a summer barbecue really can accommodate all. This year we want to kick off barbecue season in style with the world’s biggest vegan BVQ – and everyone is welcome! We’re looking forward to showing vegans and meat-eaters alike just how delicious a plant based barbecue can be.”
To participate in the event, visit East Side Park between 11am and 3pm on Wednesday 30 May.
